Members of basketball team Team Autism Army

Griffin Taylor and Crossover Ventures were thrilled to enter Team Autism Army into the 2021 The Basketball Tournament (TBT) on ESPN, a winner-take-all competition with a $1 million prize.

The team consisted of multiple top professional players globally, and competed on behalf of two autism awareness organizations; Life’s Worc, which specializes in providing programming and scholarships in the tri-state area to those impacted by autism, and KultureCity, which works with 28 of 30 NBA arenas to provide inclusion to those with sensory impairments.

Three players on the team - Delroy James, J’Covan Brown, and Isaiah Swann - are parents to children impacted by autism, and the team and project generated great awareness and press (NY Daily News clip below).

The team won two games and made it to the tournament Sweet 16, losing a close game to TBT defending champion Golden Eagles (Marquette alumni).
